Halloween and my Birthday!!!

So for my birthday and Halloween, my mom did a menu dinner. For those of you who don't know what that is, you have a menu like witches brew, skeleton bones, etc. and you have to put numbers by them in order of how you want to eat. So you might get your dessert, spegetti, and a napkin for your first course. So you have to eat spegetti with no utensils. It is so fun. Here my sister Jill, my mom Nancy and my dad Grant dishing up everyones first course.
Christian, Nicole, Sara, Sammie, Cheyenne, and Tyler start eating some of their food.
Sky, Craig, Ryan, Angie, Tyce, and Ryan eating their food. Craig is trying to eat his food with his straw.
Oh, Ryan got his food without any silverware. Way to go Ryan. I am glad you ate it without any silverware.
Not to bad. Your face isn't to bad.
Ryan got me a Willow Tree Nativity section for my birthday. I had such a great birthday and Halloween.

Trick Or Treat

Halloween this year fell on a Sunday, so we went Trick Or Treating on Saturday. Ryan and I dressed up as 49ers fans!!!
Peyton dressed up as Winnie the Pooh dressed up as a honey bee. What a cute fat little pooh bear.
Batman (Brigham), Referee (Craig), Iron man (Andrew), 60's girl (Sara), Shark (Tyce), Darth Vader (Christian), 60's girl's (Samantha and Nicole), Elmo (Brayden), Motor Cross Rider (Tyler), Cheerleader (Cheyenne), and Bee Winney the Pooh (Peyton) ready to go trick or treating.
Well we got half way around the block and it started hailing, thundering, lightning, and raining so hard. Everyone ran to Jill's house. I had Peyton in the umbrella stroller and had a big umbrella in my hand, so I just waited and we hunched down to take cover. Thank goodness Ryan came and rescued us. So while we waited for the storm to blow over, we played Don't Eat Pete.
Ryan and Peyton waiting for the storm to blow over.
My mom always has a back ground for us to take pictures with. Go Cheyenne!!!
Sammie
Darth Vader
All of us together.
Next we played halloween games.

Pin the nose on the monster Cheyenne.
Wow what scary teeth you have kids.

We had a very fun time trick or treating.

Carving Pumpkins

The Sunday before Halloween, we carve pumpkins at Grandma Nancy's and Grandpa Grant's. Cheyenne taking a break from carving for a picture.
Yummy Sammie. We love gutting the pumpkins.
I had to help Christian gut his pumpkin.
Christian did his pumpkin all by himself. I was very proud of him.
Cheyenne and her finished Jack-O-Latern.
Sammie with hers.
I think Christian's face is scarier than his pumpkins.

Painted Pumpkins

So in art class that Grandma Nancy teaches, the kids got to pain a pumpkin. Of course, Christian painted a Mario pumpkin. I have to say he did pretty well.
Sammie made a cute one eyed monster.
Cheyenne wanted to do a pony. They all did great. They were so proud of their pumpkins.

The Big Red Barn

For a preschool field trip, Christian got to go to the Big Red Barn. I got to go with him. We had so much fun. Here we are going on a hay ride.
Ben and Christian are so excited to go on the hay ride. What cute boys!
They had pictures up so the kids could put their heads in. What scary ghosts we have.

They had a very easy maze that we could go through. Lets just say we didn't get lost.
Yee Haw Cowboy Christian. He liked driving the tractor.
Ben, Christian and Ammon in front of the "small" Big Red Barn.
Say cheese pumpkin heads!!!
The last thing the boys got to do was to pick a pumpkin. It took a long time for them to find the most perfect one. We had a great time there.

Last Day of Disneyland!!!

So we have been trying the past few days to see the Jedi Training, but because it was so wet, they didn't do the show, so no one would get hurt. Well finally they did the show. Christian wanted to do it so bad. So we told him if you want to get picked you need to jump up and down and say that you want to do it when they are picking Jedi trainers.
So when they were getting ready to ask for volunteers, Christian was already jumping up and down for them to pick him. Needless to say he was the first person they picked. Can you tell how excited he was to do this. Thumbs up!!!
When they gave him his lightsaber, he was even more excited. More thumbs up!!!
He was so cute learning how to fight Darth Vader.
I love this move.
Oh, we were also so excited because all of our kids that wanted to go up got chosen. Here Tyler is fighting Darth Vader.
Here is my cute little Christian doing so well at fighting Darth Vader.
Good ducking Christian!!!
Here Sara is fighting Darth Maul. Sara said he was scary to fight. He kept growling at her.
And at last, here is Nicole having her chance at Darth Maul. Ben, Sammie and Cheyenne didn't want to fight the mean guys.
See ya Darth Maul and Darth Vader.
See ya Storm Troopers.
Christian, Sara, Tyler, and Nicole with there certificates of completing Jedi Training. Way to go you guys!!!
Amy, Christian, Cheyenne, Sammie and Ryan said hello to Buzz Lightyear. "To infinity and Beyond!!!"
Christian was done seeing new characters. With the rain gone, they were out in full force. But we had to say hi to the Mad Hatter and Alice.
Sara, Sammie, Nicole and Cheyenne have waited a long time to ride the Tea Cups with Uncle Ryan/Dad. They didn't have this ride going in the rain. Ryan gets them spinning so fast that everyone fights over who gets to go with him.
Poor Ben and Tyler, have to go with Aunt Amy. I wasn't as fast as Ryan, but we got it going pretty good.
I love this picture in front of the castle. We were all happy and smiling.
The "O"rtiz family!!!
Oh so I have to tell you this funny story. Well we were in line for the Mulholland Madness ride, and Christian had to use the bathroom. Jill wasn't going on this ride at this time, so she took him to go potty. Well when they got back, Christian was mad he didn't get to go. So Jill took him on it. Well they were starting to climb up the track and the ride broke down. Christian and Jill just sat and waited for them to let them off the ride.
Well they waited a long time and all of a sudden the firemen came and got them down. I guess they had to wait for the firemen to come and get them off. The workers couldn't do it. Jill and Christian and the 2 other people were the first ones to get off the ride. I guess they had to get rescued first because they were on the slope.
Here Christian and Jill are finally getting off the ride. Hey we got a free pass on any ride we wanted to go on without waiting in line. Christian was still bummed he didn't get to go on the ride and it was our last day. Poor kid. We love going to Disneyland. We will see you in 3 years!!!
