Invention Convention

For Sammie's class they had to come up with an invention and show it in school. One day, Sammie was eating school lunch and she had her sparkle ball on her tray and she accidently threw her sparkle ball away. Boy was she sad when she got home. So we decided to come up with a bag that could hold her sparkle ball and she could wear it on her back so her hands were free while she dumped her tray. It was a very cute bag. Thank goodness Grandma Nancy was there to help her sew her bag. She told Grandma that if her mom did it, it wouldn't be that good. Boy she knows her mom well.

America's favorite past time!

Christian loves baseball!!! He can play all day long! He loves when we will go out and pitch to him. He gets mad when we stop after a half hour or so. He is so fun to watch play. He is very coordinated and hits many balls.
He is so cute in his little stance. He is so focused on hitting that ball.
He is going to nail that one.
Every once in a while he wants to pitch to who ever is playing ball with him. He is also a pretty good pitcher. It is funny though if you missed hitting the ball it is always your fault. It is never his fault if he threw it horrible.
Ryan going to hit a perfect pitch from Christian. Ryan loves having a son old enough now to play some sports with. He can't wait until Peyton can play with them.

Gibby 2009

My husband and his brother and dad go down to St. George every year to the "Gibby Classic" which is a golf tornament and stay down there Thursday thru Saturday and have a blast. They have manly bonding time. In the picture above is Jerry and Ryan on one of the holes.
Nice form Ryan. Ryan really liked the scenery on this hole. He said to the left is a cliff.
Don't shank it Jerry!!!
Ryan also loves playing down in St. George because of the red rock and gully's they get to play through.
What a cute golfer!!!!
Look at those 3 studly men!!! Ryan, Jerry and Todd have so much fun on their little man vacation. I think I need a girls vacation.
Ryan had the round of his life on this day. Ryan had a long approach from 160 yards out and came so close to holing it out.
Ryan's group he played with on the day he did so well. He had so much fun. They laughed the whole time and got a belly workout from laughing so much.
Ryan and his brother Todd in their team shirts.
Jerry and Todd were on the losing team. Too bad boys, maybe next year. Every year Ryan has gone he has been on the winning team. Hopefully it keeps going that way.

My big 30th Birthday

My husband has spoiled me rotten on my big 30th birthday. Last weekend Ryan surprised me and took me to PF Changs and out to a movie and shopping. We didn't think we would be able to go out since Cheyenne got a fever the night before, of course. But thanks to my mom for watching her, so we wouldn't give it to my sisters family, and for Jill rearranging her night a few times we were able to go out. Then this weekend he took me out to lunch while his parents watched the kids. He also gave me a book, 2 DVD's, phase 10, a wii card, and the Willow Tree Nativity that I have been wanting for a while. He has spoiled me!!! I love him so much. He is such a great husband.
Ryan also had invited everyone over for cake and ice cream.
Here I am blowing out my candles. I couldn't have wish for a better couple of weeks. Thanks Ryan and everyone who helped or celebrated with me.

Halloween Night

Since my birthday is on Halloween, I have always remembered a party on Halloween at my parents house. They have always gotten in to Halloween and love dressing up and scaring everyone. This year my parents decorated their garage and had a party in it. Here is Peyton and I waiting for the party to begin.
My parents had a visitor show up on his bike. We had to get a picture by him.
After getting our pictures taken and eating dinner we had game time. Here we are playing Halloween bingo or coloring Halloween pictures.
The guest visitor saying good-bye to everyone. We had such a great time at the party mom and dad. Thanks!!!

Halloween Costumes

For Halloween this year Ryan dressed up as Homer Simpson for work. He looked so good!!! He said he will never wear face make-up again. He couldn't use the phone, or scratch his face. By 3:00 in the afternoon he was done, and took it all off.
Sammie and Cheyenne wanted to be fairy's again this year. We found some cute little skirts for them to wear. They looked so cute!!
Here are all of the kids ready to go trick or treating, Cheyenne, Christian, Sammie and Peyton
Christian is shooting his spider web at the camera. He was so funny this year. We borrowed the costume from Aunt Jill and he was so bugged that there wasn't a web that came with it. He had to call Aunt Jill and ask her were the web was. Jill being clever as she is said she would get one for him. Next time we saw her, Jill shot him with silly string. He did not like that, and started to cry. Then Jill showed him another toy spider web and he like that one and was happy again. Thanks Jill for your costume and webs!!!
We found Peyton a darling little Mickey Mouse costume, so of course I had to be Minnie Mouse. Don't we look so cute.
Since Ryan couldn't be Homer again, since he destroyed the bald cap from yesterday, he decided to be the lead singer for Green Day!!! He looked so good.
Our cute little spooky family ready to go Trick-Or-Treating. Happy Halloween Everyone!!!!

Halloween Parade

Sammie and Cheyenne had a Halloween parade at their elementary school. All of the kids go around the school dressed up in their costumes. They looked so cute in their fairy costumes.

Jack-O-Lanterns

For Family Home Evening on October 26th, we decided to have a contest to carve pumpkins against the girls and boys. Ryan and Christian carving their pumpkin. They won getting the top off first.
Christian helped pull the insides out only this one time. He didn't like the slime on his hand. I don't blame him. I hate doing it to and it stinks!!! P U!!!!
Thank goodness I had helpers to pull out our insides since I don't like doing it. Sammie and Cheyenne had a fun time doing it.
Ryan always has to eat the insides or pretend to sneeze or throw up the seeds. The kids love when he does this and just laugh hysterically when he does.
Christian kept wanting to carve the pumpkin and playing with the knife. This finally got him to quit playing with the knife. He got to help daddy by holding on to daddy's hand. Thank goodness this eased the tantrum.
Peyton was a big helper on the boy team. He slept the whole time. Hey at least there was no tantrum throwing from him.
I love Christian's face in this picture. It kind of looks like his pumpkin.
Ryan and Christian by their finished Jack-O-Lantern. They did a great job.
Cheyenne, Amy, and Sammie by their finished Jack-O-Lantern. Sammie and Cheyenne came up with the face all by themselves.
Our cute little Jack-O-Lanterns all lit up inside. (To bad you can't tell with the flash turned on)

October Art Lessons

For art lessons this month Grandma Nancy had the kids decorate pumpkins by painting them. Cheyenne decided to do a Hello Kitty pumpkin. They worked on these pumpkins for 2 weeks. They turned out so cute!!!
This is Christian scary monster pumpkin. He was very proud of his pumpkin.
Sammie's pumpkin took a little bit longer to make because she wanted a big mouth and it didn't turn out the way she wanted so she had to make another one. What a cute silly pumpkin.

Halloween fun

On October 25, we carved pumpkins at Grandma Nancy's and Grandpa Grant's house. We forgot to bring a pumpkin so Sammie helped Grandma carve her pumpkin.
She loves to help Grandma do things like this. Thanks grandma for letting Sammie help.
For Sammie's baptism Grandma Nancy gave Sammie an American Girl doll. Sammie loves to play with her doll.
Grandma Nancy made the doll to have the same baptism dress as Sammie and also look like Sammie with her blonde hair and glasses. They both look so cute.
